Desired Outcomes

At its core, a collaborative network should find its value and outcomes from the participants in the network and should not dictate to, but rather, elicit from the network. The current list of outcomes has been generated in just such a way and will continually be adjusted and adapted as the needs change.

The role of The CANA Initiative is not to replace the work being done by any other group or to usurp resources for it’s own benefit, but rather to find the big goals that can only be done together, benefit the participants in accomplishing their goals, and organize toward that end.

Through Connecting, Advocating, Networking and setting Actions steps we can generate collaborative structural sustainability in a healthy ecosystem among existing and emerging individuals, organizations, and networks to bring together innovative leaders from all streams of

the faith to collaborate in the development of:
  1. Encourage new, expanding, generative and meaningful expressions of Christianity in North America
  2. Create exposure for media and other practitioners to learn about and access the movement
  3. Highlight more attractive public opinion of Christianity, spirituality and faith
  4. Connect with and inspire new generation of leaders
  5. Generate a collaborative environment for shared participation among leaders
  6. Network with parallel networks globally
  7. Create pathways for a new kind of interaction between faith traditions
  8. Generate pathways for faith-based organizations to collaborate with non-faith focused endeavours of Collective Action
  9. Support systems that generate new innovative initiatives - communities, churches, learning centers, media organizations, causes, etc.
